Last night, while scrolling through the news, I saw Jane Street quietly disclose its $990 million Bitcoin ETF holdings—no big, attention-grabbing announcement, no large-letter post on X, just calmly tucked away in the 13F filings.
Then Tudor Jones also moved: Paul Tudor Jones’s fund increased its stake in BlackRock IBIT again, and UBS reported that the iShares BTC trust’s call option positions surged by a full 24 times.
My first reaction to these numbers was: this isn’t retail traders fighting it out—it’s a group of big-name institutions that usually can’t be bothered to even follow crypto media quietly building positions.
BTC is currently moving sideways around $64,200, with an RSI of about 56—no overbought signal. MA7 and MA25 are both above MA99, and the moving averages are in a bullish alignment. The MACD histogram is still below the signal line, but the gap is narrowing—this kind of structure is actually more friendly for people waiting to get in than a sudden rocket-style spike.
When a crocodile enters the water, the surface only ripples slightly.
Large capital doesn’t draw red circles on the candlestick chart to tell you, “I’m here.” It shows up in quarterly report filings—when you realize things suddenly got quiet, that’s when you notice it.
Not a shout to go long—just the thought that once institutions start using IBIT for allocations, and with BTC as the narrative for payments/value storage, it’s no longer just crypto circles indulging themselves.
