To be honest, high odds only count once you validate them against the order book. With the current structure of $CXMT , I’ve stared at it for a long time, and the more I look, the more something feels off. On the contract order book, the long-side proportion is close to two-thirds, but the corresponding liquidity is paper-thin. That kind of imbalance is the most dangerous in a battle with existing positioning—once money wants to exit, the price can’t hold at all, and a downward spike is almost inevitable. Let’s set aside the technical gap between Changxin Storage and the three overseas giants; just looking at the volume structure is enough to explain everything. In this rebound, the volume has kept shrinking, while the price is barely propped up—classic volume-price divergence.

The bulls look like there are many, but it’s all just “fat”—not many truly willing to lock and hold. This is the kind of chart I’m most familiar with: the bigger the imbalance between longs and shorts, the more you need to watch out for a reverse liquidation. In the futures/contract market, it’s always a few people who profit, with most people paying. I’ve repeatedly confirmed the key levels: above, there’s a heavy concentration of trapped positions, and each push higher comes with weaker and weaker follow-through. By contrast, once price breaks a key support level, stop-loss orders will trigger one after another like dominoes. At that point, the speed of the decline is something that a mere range-bound move can’t compare to. When you calculate the risk-reward ratio, shorting from this position has clearly much better value. Upside room has been pinned down completely, while downside room is wide open.

I’m not saying you have to act immediately, but the signals the order book gives us are already very clear. In the contract market, when liquidity is poor, direction often matters more than the exact price level. We just need to patiently wait for that confirmation signal to appear; the rest is for the market to play out. Structural opportunities like this aren’t worth missing—getting it wrong is what’s fatal.
