The U.S. Department of the Treasury has officially launched a public consultation process for the GENIUS Act (stablecoin legislation) implementing rules. The bill was signed into law last year and was originally set to take effect on January 1, 2027. Previously, the market had concerns that delayed stablecoin regulatory details would slow the rollout of the bill. The current progress on the rules suggests the bill will most likely take effect according to the original timeline, without waiting for all implementing details to be finalized before entering the implementation stage. This helps clear some policy uncertainty for bringing crypto assets into compliance. As a result, long-term regulatory policy uncertainty for assets such as BTC and ETH is also reduced, and market expectations for the rollout of compliant stablecoins have warmed. $BTC $ETH #Crypto Regulation
