Dusk's on-chain data gives me pause. Sub-80 daily active addresses, empty blocks, zero TVL. The tech is legit—XSC hits the compliance sweet spot, and the staking mechanism is clever, tying rewards to hardware performance, not just stake size. But clever only matters if there's traffic to burn gas. Right now, transaction counts are in the double digits, so fee burn is negligible and inflation just dilutes holders.

The €300M NPEX deal sounds huge, but I care about settlement frequency, not asset size. A one-time issuance parked on-chain does nothing; repeated trades burn real gas and drive token demand.

So the market is pricing a vision, not reality. I'm watching two things: sustained monthly settlement counts into four digits, and whether third-party devs build on DuskEVM. Until those move, I'm staying out. I'd rather be late to a real breakout than early to a story that fades.
