$PORTAL 24 hours up 65%; I didn’t chase this 0.0185 US dollar level, but honestly, I kind of regret it.
With 28.7M in trading volume sitting there, this isn’t a small move. For that kind of volume to match this kind of pump, either there’s insider information and people front-ran it, or the market makers are orchestrating a dump-and-dump scheme. I lean toward the latter—this kind of sudden spike in a small-cap coin is usually the classic pump first, dump later play. On the news side, I didn’t see any real positive catalyst; if anything, the order book depth looks pretty unhealthy.
Jumping in now is basically betting on being the last one holding the bag.
As for the big drops, $PHB and NFP both fell more than 60%, and PYR wasn’t far behind. I hadn’t paid much attention to these projects before, but based on the size of the drawdowns, this doesn’t look like a normal pullback—when has a normal correction ever looked like a waterfall crash like this? Most likely it’s the project team dumping, institutions unloading, or a liquidity crisis triggering a stampede. Buying the dip? Not a chance. There’s a basement under the floor.
BTC is at 63575 now, and funding at 0.0091 is on the high side, which means leveraged longs are getting crowded again. If BTC can’t hold here, altcoins will only get hit harder.
My take: don’t chase the pumps, and don’t buy the crashes. Let the dust settle first.
Do you think this PORTAL move was news-driven or just pure capital manipulation?
