U.S. corporate spending on artificial intelligence is rising rapidly, with the top 1% of companies now spending a record $7,400 per employee each month on AI-related costs. According to ChainCatcher, that figure is more than 600 times the spending level of median companies.

The data highlights a widening gap between leading firms and ordinary businesses in AI investment, as top companies increase spending on AI applications and infrastructure at a much faster pace than the industry average.
