The biggest risk to DUSK isn't that the technology fails. It's that the market judges it before its target users are ready to move.
That thought has been stuck with me for days.
Crypto is used to instant feedback. A new chain launches, wallets appear, TVL grows, and everyone calls it adoption. Regulated finance doesn't move like that. Decisions pass through compliance teams, legal reviews, risk assessments, and months of testing before real capital touches new infrastructure.
That's why I think DUSK is being measured with the wrong clock.
The architecture already points toward a specific destination: privacy where it's required, selective disclosure when it's necessary, and verifiable settlement without exposing everything on a public ledger. It's a design that makes sense for institutions, not for chasing short-term hype.
The harder question is no longer "Can DUSK support regulated finance?"
It's "When will regulated finance decide it's ready to use infrastructure like DUSK at scale?"
There's a huge difference between building technology that solves a problem and reaching the moment when the market is ready to depend on that solution.
For me, that's the phase worth watching.
Not every quiet period means nothing is happening. Sometimes it means the story is shifting from engineering to execution—and that's where every serious infrastructure project is ultimately judged.
