MU still hasn’t managed to touch the thousand-yuan threshold. It churned around the 978 area all day, and the posting position hasn’t shifted much compared to where it was in the previous two days.

First, the conclusion: I’m not taking a side on either side yet—I’ll wait and observe.

The tape is actually quite tangled. The spot buy side below is solid: the 20th tier buy orders are nearly twice the size of the sell orders, so it wouldn’t be accurate to say nobody is accepting bids. But on the futures side, the aggressive order book has been constantly pinned by sell orders. The aggressive long/short ratio has stayed around 0.6 and can’t get back on its feet. The moment any long positions that try to run ahead show up, they get knocked back.

More importantly, trading volume is shrinking. This stretch of aggressive execution has dropped a lot. Price can’t push up with volume, and it also can’t fall with volume—basically, nobody’s playing. When a high-level range-bound grind like this keeps going until the end, it’s usually a matter of choosing direction, not just grinding sideways forever.

The trend itself hasn’t broken yet. Both the 4-hour and daily directions are still pushing upward, and the moving averages haven’t been broken. But the price has already been pressed below the 15-minute moving average. When it tried to break through into the thousand range, it never managed to do it with volume. The advantage of the longs is clearly weaker than before. Big-money positioning is also tangled: on the account side, more than half is short, while on the position side it’s slightly net long—so even whales are placing bets on both directions.

So my stance is very direct: chasing longs—your head is against the thousand-yuan threshold plus active sell pressure, and the cost-effectiveness isn’t great. Shorting—the spot bid below is genuinely there, making it easier to get hit. The best choice is to wait—wait for it to put volume behind taking out the thousand-yuan level, or wait for a pullback that doesn’t break down before considering entries. Don’t rush to place a bet from this spot yet.
