Nvidia is moving to address a key constraint in the AI boom: financing. According to Sina Finance, Goldman Sachs has begun contacting insurers, banks, and asset managers to help Nvidia mobilize more than $500 billion for AI infrastructure construction.
The plan, announced on August 10, would bring together Nvidia, Goldman Sachs, Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, and KKR to build an independent financing platform for Nvidia-driven AI infrastructure. Nvidia may provide up to $125 billion in support for the related transactions, or about 25% of the total size.
Goldman Sachs is discussing the structure with a broad group of investors. Its asset management business could provide junior capital and private credit, while its investment banking business could place debt with private credit funds and eventually public bond market investors.
Nvidia reported revenue of $81.6 billion in the first quarter of fiscal 2027, up 85% year over year, including data center revenue of $75.2 billion, up 92%.
