Dusk Network is going after a problem I think crypto underestimated: serious finance can't run on a ledger where everyone sees everything.
If tokenized bonds, funds, and securities are going on-chain, institutions need privacy. Not total anonymity. They need selective disclosure — prove you're allowed to own something without broadcasting your identity, position, or trading activity to the whole market.
That's the Dusk bet.
Its architecture combines confidential transactions, smart contracts, identity tools, and XSC for regulated digital securities. The idea is solid. I actually like the direction.
But I'm not giving Dusk credit for partnerships alone. Crypto has plenty of those.
The real test is boring: real securities, real investors, real settlement, real fees.
If that starts happening at scale, Dusk could become serious financial infrastructure.
If not, it'll remain another technically interesting chain with a good story.
I'm watching the usage, not the hype.
