ETH dances at the ICU entrance—dare you push the door in?】

Let me tell you something interesting—ETH’s Fear and Greed Index is 34, with a weekly average of 30. What does this number mean? Back in the November 2022 bottom, when FTX had just exploded, the FNG was already a little above 20. Now we’re still some distance from that number, but the sentiment is already cold to the point of making you uneasy.

Here’s the question: with fear this intense, how has ETH not fallen apart? Over 7 days it’s down 2.2%, and in the last 24 hours it’s basically flat. The level $ 1878 is holding.

What is this called? A “should be down but isn’t.”

I’ve seen this in 2017, when I got cut. Back then, the whole internet was panicking—then it just went sideways for two days and shot back up. Because the people who truly wanted to sell had already sold; what remained were those who never planned to move. When the market panics to the extreme, it’s actually the cleanest moment.

Now ETH is down 62% from its all-time high. It’s already in an oversold valuation zone. But a low valuation isn’t a reason to buy—an undervalued asset can always get even cheaper. What I want to ask is: does the business logic hold up?

Take a look at what’s been happening in the last 48 hours: Israel’s largest bank plans to launch ETH trading in early 2027. The Dartmouth endowment fund has reduced its exposure to ETH. Notice these two things together—inside institutional circles, attitudes toward ETH are starting to split. Some people are rushing in to position themselves; others are beginning to withdraw. This isn’t a unified expectation—it’s a standoff.

Support to watch is $ 1850. If it breaks, the next support is $ 1750. Resistance is in the $ 1900–$ 1950 range. To move up, you’d need increased volume, but currently trading volume is sluggish, and the market is still watching from the sidelines.

Honestly, I do have a position right now, but I haven’t moved. This is the hardest place to sit—going in, you’re afraid of being buried; not going in, you’re afraid of missing the run. What about you all? What mindset are you in right now—are you itching to act?
