It doesn’t use a public block-producer ordering; instead, it has validators submit zero-knowledge proofs to blindly select the next block producer. You prove you’re qualified, but nobody knows who you are. Even frontrunning bots can’t find the target, let alone sandwich it. This mechanism is definitely attractive to market makers and institutional traders.
And then there’s its XSC standard—baking compliance into confidential contracts as well. Transfer amounts and balances aren’t public, but audit keys can be unlocked on demand for regulators. Right now, DUSK’s circulating market cap is about $60 million, with staked annualized yields fluctuating around 15%. There are over 120 mainnet validators, and the ecosystem has been running for more than a year—not too big yet. I think Dusk has figured out both privacy and anti-frontrunning. But will institutions really move their operations because of a ledger system that can satisfy both privacy and compliance at the same time? I still don’t have an answer to that.
