According to a Reuters report on August 15, Robinhood’s second venture capital fund, RVII, was listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The fund raised approximately $225.5 million, opened at $22.50, and was subscribed by more than 133,000 Robinhood customers. The fund focuses on current and past companies from the Y Combinator incubator program, enabling retail investors to participate in investments in pre-IPO startups. As a well-known retail brokerage and crypto trading platform, Robinhood is extending its business into the private markets, or prompting more platforms to follow suit—lowering the threshold for retail investors to participate in the primary market. $HOOD is for informational purposes only and does not constitute investment advice.
