$VIC and $BICO just gave me the opposite feeling from the usual green-chart excitement.
Seeing VIC down around 36% and BICO down around 31%, I don’t immediately see two “bad projects.” I see two projects being tested by the market in very different ways.
For VIC, I’m watching the network itself. Viction went through a scheduled v2.6.0 upgrade and hard fork on June 30, with exchanges temporarily pausing deposits and withdrawals during the transition.
BICO is a different case for me. Biconomy has continued shipping technical work around ERC-8211 and its Smart Batching SDK, while its broader focus remains making multi-chain interactions easier for applications.
So when I look at these red numbers, I think of a shop with the lights suddenly turned off. I know something is wrong, but the darkness alone doesn’t tell me whether the business is closing, fixing the wiring, or simply dealing with a temporary problem.
That’s why I’m more interested in what happens next than in the size of today’s drop.
For me, the real test is whether the work behind VIC and BICO can continue when the chart stops being friendly.
