I keep thinking about Dusk from a slightly different angle. Everyone talks about blockchain privacy, but in finance, I don’t think the goal is to hide everything. Some information should stay private. Other information still needs to be verified. Getting that balance right is the difficult part.
That’s where Dusk catches my attention. Its XSC standard and confidential smart contracts are built around the idea that financial activity can remain private while still being usable and verifiable when necessary. I’ve seen plenty of projects talk about privacy, but the real test starts when actual financial applications have to depend on it.
I’ve also been watching the steady work around Rusk, DuskEVM and the broader ecosystem. Nothing about that makes me assume success, but it does make the project more interesting to follow.
I’m still not fully convinced. Crypto has a long history of impressive technology looking for a real problem.
For me, Dusk becomes meaningful only if privacy stops being the headline and becomes something financial users simply expect to have in the background.
