Stocks vs competitors - Binance is far from the only player in the game
Kraken and Robinhood launched tokenized stocks even earlier, a year before Binance. That means the idea isn’t new—Binance isn’t a pioneer here, but rather a player who came in with scale and its audience.
The difference in approach is interesting: some platforms bet on direct access to the DeFi ecosystem out of the box, while others focus more on simplicity for those coming from traditional brokerage.
Binance, judging by everything, is betting on integration into its “super-app”—so that stocks, crypto, and everything else live in one place, not scattered across different services.
What does this mean for the user? Competition is always a plus: lower fees, more assets in the listings, better UX, because everyone tries to win users over from each other.
It will be interesting to see whether any of the players starts offering voting rights or direct access to shareholder meetings through tokens—so far, none has reached that level.
