#bstockscis I didn’t think that meeting could start with a conversation about blockchain stocks
Recently I got to know a girl. At first it was just a normal chat: work, travel, plans. And then, by chance, we got into the topic of investing.
I said that lately I’ve been increasingly interested in tokenized stocks — and she really surprised me: it turned out she invests in them too.
But what was even more interesting wasn’t that. We looked at the idea itself differently.
I initially saw blockchain stocks mostly as a more convenient way to access traditional assets. For me, the key things are the ability to trade more flexibly, see transactions on-chain, and not be so tied to the old stock market infrastructure.
She, on the other hand, looked at it much more pragmatically: “So what exactly changes for the investor, besides the fact that the stock is now represented as a token?”
And I liked that question.
Because the mere fact of tokenization doesn’t make a company a better investment. If a business has problems, blockchain won’t fix them. If a stock is overvalued, tokenization won’t make it cheaper.
So I started looking at these assets a bit differently.
