I used to think that blockchain transparency was just the price of having a verifiable system.
The more I look at DUSK, the more I question that assumption.
What’s interesting is not just that DUSK supports private transactions. It’s the idea that disclosure can become something you do intentionally when a workflow requires it.
This distinction matters.
In a traditional public blockchain, sensitive information can only be revealed because a transaction has occurred. For regulated markets, this can expose balances, counterparties, or activity that other participants don’t actually need to see.
DUSK approaches this differently through selective disclosure with privacy. Its architecture combines secret flows, zero-knowledge proofs, and controlled visibility, allowing specific information to be revealed only when an authorized party needs proof.
