$XRP around $1.00 saw whales add more than 72 million coins, yet the price only bounced back to 1.0046; my setup was 0.9985 as a reminder—don’t let on-chain whales move the action price.
――― Direction: The bid-story is hot, but price-volume confirmation is still missing one piece; I’ll wait for the range to answer on its own.

According to Santiment, from August 13 to 14 over roughly 24 hours, large addresses accumulated more than 72 million XRP. That number is enough to get the bulls excited, but the price fell about 0.5% over the past 24 hours, which suggests that the coins being taken and spot immediately strengthening are not the same thing.

More importantly, look at the closed hourly candle. The 03:00 UTC 1-hour candle closed at 1.0046 with volume only about 42% of the average volume of the previous 20 candles. It pulled back from the 0.9862 low, but it still hasn’t broken above the 24-hour high of 1.0128. If you chase directly based on the “whales catching a bottom,” you might buy only the narrative—not confirmation.

My plan has three layers: 0.9985 is the observation level—after a retest, only if a full 1-hour candle closes back above 1.0000 will I reassess; 0.9855 is the invalidation stop-loss line—if it breaks below, it means my judgment on this round of support was wrong; only if a full 1-hour candle closes above 1.0128 and volume reaches 1.3 times the average of the prior 20 candles will I trigger the “strengthening” judgment.

The whales have already placed the bet; the market hasn’t signed yet. I’m waiting for the latter.
