The Economic Observer website reports that Blackstone (BX) plans to jointly invest CAD 2.5 billion in Air Canada’s loyalty program Aeroplan together with the Quebec Savings Investment Group. Other reports also indicate that it will acquire a minority stake in the program for about USD 2 billion.
