In reality, behind a tap there’s a chain of several brokerage links before the result comes back to you as a token on your balance. I used to think that a simple interface and simple mechanics under the hood are the same thing.
Turns out a simple interface can very well hide complex infrastructure—and that’s probably the norm for any fintech, not a specific feature of this product.
Still can’t decide: should users even know about the whole chain, or for most people is it enough that it just works?
