Foresight News message: Lido posted that the NEST automated LDO buyback mechanism approved by on-chain voting from August 5 to August 8 has been officially deployed to the mainnet. It runs in the previously determined “vault-only mode,” not the “LP mode” that was approved earlier via the Snapshot vote. The acquired LDO is sent directly into the DAO treasury. This mechanism is a rules-based automated system: when the DAO’s staked income surplus exceeds the $40 million baseline, 50% of the surplus will be automatically used to buy LDO via CoW Swap. If, in a given phase, income falls short of the baseline, the corresponding shortfall will be carried into later accounting and purchases can resume only after the新增 surplus makes up the deficit. The daily purchase cap is $50,000 and the annual cap is $10 million; all purchased LDO belongs to the DAO. Subsequent mode switching and all parameter adjustments can only be completed through DAO voting.
