A number made Dusk’s privacy argument feel more concrete to me.
Dusk currently shows €300M+ in confirmed issuance with institutions, while its NPEX market infrastructure has access to a 20,000+ investor base.
That made me stop thinking about privacy as just a technical feature.
Technical point: when financial assets move onchain at this scale, making every balance and transaction fully visible isn’t necessarily a benefit.
Imagine an investor buying a large position in a tokenized security. The transaction still needs to be auditable and compliant, but there are good reasons why their exact financial activity shouldn’t become public information for everyone watching the chain.
Dusk is trying to build around that tradeoff with privacy and selective disclosure rather than treating transparency as an all-or-nothing choice.
Self-critique: I originally thought the interesting part was simply putting €300M+ of assets onchain.
The more important question may be what information remains private once those assets actually start trading.
Because putting finance onchain is one problem.
Putting regulated finance onchain without exposing everything is another.
Question: What becomes more important as tokenized markets grow?
