The continuous development of digital asset and artificial intelligence technologies is driving payments into a new application stage. On the one hand, stablecoins are accelerating their move beyond on-chain scenarios and are being integrated into real business functions such as payments, settlements, and treasury management. On the other hand, AI Agents are gradually evolving from supporting tools into payment participants capable of representing users and enterprises to conduct inquiries, make decisions, call services, and even initiate transactions.
As stablecoins move into real payment scenarios, how can compliance be truly implemented? As AI Agents begin to participate in transactions, how can secure and trustworthy transaction mechanisms be established? These have also become new issues the industry needs to address.
To this end, SlowMist will join hands with ME Group to host an industry exchange event in Hong Kong on August 28: “Crossing the Mist to Trusted Payments | A New Frontier for Global Stablecoin Compliance and Agentic Payments.” The event will focus on the technical evolution of global stablecoin compliance and applications, as well as agentic payments, and on building security for a trusted payment ecosystem. Ecosystem partners from areas including stablecoins, payments, AI agents, and compliance security are invited to come together to explore the future direction of stablecoin compliance and agentic payments.

Global stablecoin compliance: from regulatory requirements to application capabilities
As stablecoins progressively move into real-world scenarios such as retail payments, cross-border settlement, merchant collections, and enterprise treasury management, the industry’s focus is shifting from issuance itself to how to apply them safely, compliantly, and efficiently. Meanwhile, regulatory frameworks in major global markets continue to improve, and compliance requirements are extending from the issuance side to application areas such as payments, transactions, and risk control—gradually becoming an important capability for institutions to build trust and expand into genuine business use cases.
This event will focus on the evolution of global stablecoin compliance and its impact on issuance, payments, transactions, and risk-control practices. It will also discuss how the industry can drive further adoption of stablecoins on top of a compliance foundation.
Agentic payments: from “human pays” to “agent pays”
AI agents are gradually gaining the ability to query, compare prices, procure, call services, and execute payments. Payment machine protocols represented by x402 and MPP, along with ongoing development of agent wallets, payment credentials, and identity systems, are driving software from “using services” to “completing transactions autonomously,” directly enabling APIs, data, and digital services to be paid for.
However, Agentic Payments (agent-based payments) is not just about giving machines a wallet—it also means that payment responsibility and the boundaries of permissions are changing: Who is responsible for an agent’s actions? What permissions does the user grant? How is the budget controlled? How can the counterparty and the flow of funds be verified? And if mispayments, fraud, or abnormal transactions occur, how should they be audited and handled?
These new security and compliance issues will also become challenges that must be addressed for agentic payments to be further adopted in practice. The event will center on the development of x402, Agentic Payments, and related infrastructure, share industry practices and explorations, and discuss the challenges of agentic payments in security, compliance, and real-world applications.
Security and Compliance: Building a New Trustworthy Payment Foundation
SlowMist has long been deeply involved in blockchain security, on-chain threat intelligence, fund tracking, and KYT/AML, and continuously provides on-chain risk identification and fund monitoring capabilities for digital asset platforms, Web3 projects, and financial institutions through products such as MistTrack.
As stablecoins and agentic payments gradually enter real business scenarios, security and compliance must also be further integrated into key product design areas such as payment authorization and risk control. During the event, SlowMist will share relevant practices and observations around secure stablecoin compliance and agentic payment safety, and will officially release the MistTrack agent program—connecting more ecosystem partners and helping onboard on-chain risk control capabilities into a wider range of payment and commercial scenarios.
The event also features several open-mic (Open Mic) sharing sessions, with each speaker allotted 10 minutes. If you’re interested in the topics above, or have relevant practices and experience you’d like to share, please register to participate!
More guest lineup and complete agenda details will be revealed in due course—please stay tuned.
