OKB is now at 102u, and 100 was this key level—once it broke above, it stayed there.

Only on August 6 did it reach 85u; it built up all the way to now without really looking back.

Honestly, it’s a bit moving. OKB has been quiet for too long. In the past, it was just an exchange’s platform coin—aside from using it for new-issue subscriptions to reduce trading fees, no one really paid attention to it.

After last year’s burn, the total supply was locked at 21 million—same number as Bitcoin. The ability to mint more was directly removed from the contract. Now it’s the only gas for X Layer. On-chain transfers, opening pools, and playing memecoins—all the burning is of OKB.

With supply sealed off, when demand rises, people can only push prices upward.

So I don’t think it’s the platform coin itself that’s flying—it’s that the chain is about to come alive.

The opportunities on-chain should be further ahead.
