Three CryptoRank tabs, one moment in time. The rankings surprised me more than the prices.

$SPCXB - rank 341
$TSLAB - rank 731
$NVDAB - rank 1026

The rank here is by market capitalization. That is: in tokenized form, SpaceX is bigger than Tesla, and Tesla is bigger than NVIDIA.

In the real world the order is the opposite. NVIDIA is one of the most expensive companies on the planet. SpaceX only went public in June.

The tokenized market doesn’t copy the real one. It flips it.

Then I looked at the daily ranges.

SPCXB: 140.40 - 148.22
(148.22 − 140.40) ÷ 140.40 = 5.57%

TSLAB: 324.99 - 342.74
(342.74 − 324.99) ÷ 324.99 = 5.46%

NVDAB: 223.26 - 226.32
(226.32 − 223.26) ÷ 223.26 = 1.37%

5.57 ÷ 1.37 = 4.07

Over a day, SPCXB’s range is four times wider than NVDAB’s.

And it all fits into one picture. NVDAB is the smallest market and the calmest. Anyone could have bought this paper through a regular broker and up to bStocks. Demand was lower because the alternative was always there.

SPCXB is the biggest and the most active. Almost nobody had access to it.

Token size and volatility don’t measure a company. They measure how tightly the doors were shut.

Limitations: one slice, CryptoRank, August 14. The rank moves daily along with market capitalization. Three tickers out of 25+ is not a sample for drawing conclusions about the entire list.
