⚡The history of cryptocurrencies: From a revolutionary concept to today’s global system 🚀

The history of digital assets began in 2008, after the global financial crisis, when an anonymous person or group under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin white paper ($BTC ). The goal was clear: to create a peer-to-peer, decentralized electronic money system free from the control of banking institutions.

On January 3, 2009, the Bitcoin genesis block was mined. During its first months, BTC practically had no assigned monetary value and was traded only among technology enthusiasts. The first officially recorded market price was $0,0009 USD per coin in October 2009.

The first real transaction milestone happened in May 2010 with the famous purchase of two pizzas for 10,000 BTC, setting the first tangible commercial value of the cryptocurrency.

From that humble start below a penny, Bitcoin paved the way for thousands of altcoins and for the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem and Web3 innovation we know today, reaching all-time highs of tens of thousands of dollars per unit.
