Binance starts gray-scale testing transfers of U.S. stock assets. Other brokers’ positions can be directly moved into Binance, and U.S. stocks inside Binance can also be transferred out—both ways are supported. Under the hood, it uses ACATS, the standard protocol that traditional brokers use to transfer positions between them. Currently, it’s only available to some users and is expected to be rolled out to everyone soon. A crypto exchange being able to seamlessly bring traditional brokers’ stock positions in goes one step further than simply listing U.S. stock trading. The wall between on-chain and off-chain is getting thinner and thinner.
