Back when we were eating on the weekend, I was wondering how the market suddenly pushed $NFLX right to the front row of the U.S. stock perpetual contracts on Binance.
When a coin has an old-school name like that, and it manages to squeeze into the top ten of the Binance U.S. stock perpetual gainers list, I generally don’t chalk it up to just emotional price swings.
You can tell from the attention alone—there are plenty of people eyeing it.
Over the past 24 hours, the trading volume is 3.08M USDT, and open interest has also piled up to 22,563 contracts. That suggests it’s not one of those “pump and dump with a single spike” plays.
Even more interesting: the funding rate is still +0.0000%.
It really looks like a bunch of people have already gathered around, but bullish momentum hasn’t crowded so hard that it starts to feel overheated. The market is trading seriously—it’s not a one-sided frenzy where everyone is chasing wildly.
Price also gave some attitude.
Over the last 24 hours, $NFLX went from $74.26 all the way to $78.19. The current price is still around $78.15, up 5.08%, and it hasn’t dropped much near the highs.
That kind of path makes me look at it more favorably. It indicates the buy-side isn’t just firing one shot and leaving—at least, they’re willing to keep holding even at higher levels.
And if I zoom out to the company itself, I’m bullish not just because of this one green candle.
From what I understand, the biggest advantage of a stock like $NFLX is that the things it does are something ordinary people can feel every day. Unlike many theme stocks that are all talk and hype, you can’t really reach their products.
This whole media streaming and content distribution route has a strong “winner takes most” kind of flavor.
Once user habits form, things like the content library, brand awareness, and global reach gradually become sticky. New entrants trying to grab market share can’t just steal it with a bit of ad spend.
Now that the market is willing to refocus on it, I suspect there’s a pretty realistic reason.
Companies like this have a technology angle, but they’re not names whose valuation relies purely on distant future stories. Once the order flow starts looking for “something that can talk about growth and that you can actually understand,” capital is more likely to flow back to them.
And I’m not saying I’d just blindly rush in.
What these stocks fear is expectations rising too fast. After that, if user growth, content reputation, or the consumption environment gets even a little off-kilter, the crowd that chased higher will run just as quickly.
But just looking at today’s tape, I’m leaning bullish.
If you ask whether I’d go touch it, I’d rather wait until it’s in a strong position and doesn’t loosen up too badly, then take a slower look. I don’t want to charge straight at it head-on just because of a big green candle.
The tape is changing—what matters today may not hold true for tomorrow. $NFLX #USStocks (U.S. stock perpetual)
