Last night I didn’t rush to look at the K-line charts. I first broke a small amount of DUSK into two transfers: one via Moonlight, the other via Phoenix. The most direct feedback isn’t “privacy is advanced,” but rather that the same settlement layer provides two different data boundary models. Moonlight uses a public account model—balances, senders, and amounts are visible. Phoenix represents funds as encrypted notes, using zero-knowledge proofs to confirm that inputs are valid, amounts are conserved, and there is no double-spending—while not disclosing the specific amount or the linkage between notes.

I think this is what makes Dusk most worth watching: it doesn’t package privacy as an opaque black curtain everyone must swallow. Instead, it lets privacy and disclosure be optional, native transaction models. Security token transfer can’t broadcast all business positions to the entire network, and it also can’t rely on regulators and auditors hearing just one line: “Trust me.” Phoenix’s viewing keys and selective disclosure neatly separate “not visible to the public” from “verifiable by authorized parties.”

The real experience also exposes the costs. Privacy notes require the wallet to scan, manage, and generate proofs—the interaction is heavier than ordinary transfers. And because the two models coexist, wallets also have to clearly explain the balance types, the receiving addresses, and failure reasons; otherwise users will only get a plain conclusion: the coins are still there, but I panicked first.

So I won’t give a high score just because of four words: “privacy RWA.” What really needs to be verified is whether Dusk Trade can make identity qualification, restricted transfers, asset legs, and payment legs settlement into a continuous process—rather than forcing users to manually piece together protocols. @Dusk — the technical direction seems valid; the product closed loop still needs validation with real assets and sustained trading. $DUSK #dusk #BTC #ETH
