USDT issuer Tether announced today that it has completed its first full financial audit: KPMG US has issued an unqualified opinion on its fiscal year 2025 financial statements, which is the highest level of conclusion an independent auditing firm can provide. The audit covers the balance sheet, the composition of reserves, profit and loss, and cash flow. The auditors also conducted a physical inventory of the gold bars held by Tether, item by item. By the end of 2025, Tether’s reserves exceeded its liabilities by $6.814 billion. CEO Ardoino responded to years of criticism: critics have always said the audit couldn’t be done—this time, they got a clean opinion. This is a major step forward for stablecoin transparency and also paves the way for the implementation of US stablecoin regulation. #USDT #稳定币 #比特币
