CYS is currently around 1.19u. Two days ago it just broke above the 1.78 high; then it turned around and dropped with a big bearish candle. In 24 hours it fell 23%, and the pullback from the high is already close to 30%.

First, let’s talk about how this move up happened. A week ago, the low was still around 0.6. Two days ago it directly spiked to 1.78—an almost 3x increase. During the rally, the open interest in the contracts climbed by more than 70% in a single day. In a momentum-driven move with such a steep slope, pullbacks are never gentle. Right now, both the 4-hour and daily charts are pressing downward; the price has also broken through two key moving averages. The momentum is clearly weakening.

The key is the funding side. Price bounced a bit from the low near 1.17, but in the order book the buy depth is thinner than the sell depth, and spot support has been mediocre. On the contract side, the funding rate is still positive, which indicates that the long positions haven’t fully been flushed out. Yet the open interest is already starting to fall. That combination—longs still holding on but the market can’t absorb buying—often leads to an extended bearish drift.

One more structural reminder: this coin’s circulating ratio is only about 16%. The bigger “whale” holdings are still ahead. For smaller-cap coins, the eventual release/unwinding of those larger positions becomes long-term pressure on price, not something that can be absorbed by a short-term rebound.

So my stance is very clear: don’t chase at this level. After a sharp sell-off, a bounce and a reversal are two different things. It hasn’t even reclaimed the moving averages yet—talking about a reversal is too early. Either wait for it to grind out the crowded longs from the high, then after a meaningful pullback forms a proper low to enter; or just watch first and wait for the funding/positioning to choose a direction. If you already hold, be careful: volatility tends to amplify for assets that have dropped from high levels—don’t add to positions during a rebound.
