$DELLB може move through a report that Dell didn't publish at all

Today, Lenovo became such a trigger. Its quarterly revenue grew by 43% to $26.94 billion, and revenue from products and services related to AI grew by 60% to $9.3 billion. After Dell published its results, its shares also went up.

This is called read-through: the results of one company change expectations about its competitors or the entire sector.

For $DELLB this is a useful signal, but the proof threshold here is narrow. Lenovo's report shows strong demand for AI infrastructure. It doesn't show how much of that demand Dell captures, the margin at which it fulfills orders, and how much revenue turns into cash flow.

So I don't carry Lenovo's figures over directly to Dell. In Dell's next report, I'll check three things: orders for AI servers, recognized revenue, and gross margin.

A competitor's result can change expectations. Those expectations must be confirmed by Dell itself.
