I started looking at Dusk as a privacy blockchain. Then I reached the Zedger section.
That changed the picture. Zedger is designed around securities and real-world assets on Dusk, including tokenized or natively issued assets.
The interesting part is the combination. Zedger is designed to support privacy while also providing compliance and auditing capabilities.
It is not only about transferring tokens. The whitepaper describes functions including minting, burning, corporate actions such as dividends, and force transfers.
That starts to look much closer to actual financial infrastructure.
Traditional finance has rules around who can hold an asset, how corporate actions happen and when transactions need to be reviewed.
Dusk is trying to bring those requirements into blockchain infrastructure.
That is why I think the Zedger concept deserves more attention.
The bigger story around Dusk may not be privacy alone.
It may be regulated on chain finance.
