For developers, it means you don’t need to rewrite Rust contracts; for small teams, that’s a plus. The Hedger module adds another layer of confidential transfer—basically setting up “privacy on the side” within the EVM. In this layer, DUSK serves as gas. If DeFi-like compliance applications really take off in the future, consumption will shift from “fake water” on testnets to real fees on the mainnet. Right now, it’s more reliable to look at code submissions than to watch the coin price.
