This isn’t the kind of price action where spot buyers slowly push it up. $COLLECT getting onto the leaderboard today looks more like the futures side has lit the fuse first.

In the last 24h, futures contract trading volume is only $2.39M USDT—it's not large—so it doesn’t indicate that big-tier capital has broadly entered the market. The issue is the structure: the funding rate has already reached +0.0359%, and longs are starting to pay higher costs. Meanwhile, the futures open interest is still sitting at 137,926,342 COLLECT; the price is up +10.11%, but the position hasn’t clearly eased. I usually categorize this combo as “heat runs first, but realization hasn’t come yet.”

I didn’t chase longs. Instead, I placed a small short waiting for a pullback. I’m not bearish on the project itself—it's just that with small contract volume paired with a high funding rate and high open interest, it’s easiest for price to get swept back and forth in areas with thinner liquidity. If spot doesn’t follow with spot volume at the same scale, and the contract is just pushed on its own, the usual continuity isn’t great.

Whether this coin can keep surging isn’t about how pretty the K-line looks. I only care whether longs are willing to keep paying the funding rate. If the funding rate drops and the price can’t hold, I’ll take a short position; if open interest continues to increase and the price keeps pushing higher, I’ll cut my loss and exit. $COLLECT #COLLECT

Don’t go all-in. If you lose money, don’t blame me.
