Accumulation by “strong hands”
The number of wallets with balances of 10,000+ BTC reached 90 — the highest in six months. Over the past eight weeks, such wallets added six (+7.1%).
Wallets in the range 10–10,000 BTC (“whales” and “sharks”) have accumulated BTC worth $1.5 billion since July 29.
Large holders added approximately 46,000 #BTC by taking advantage of price dips.
Supply rotation
A classic rotation is happening: coins move from small holders (“micro” wallets shrink throughout August) to the largest investors.

In 7 days: inflow +$558.4 million
In 30 days: inflow +$901.3 million
The week ending August 7: +$854 million (the strongest week since April)
However, on August 10, an outflow of -$144.7 million was recorded, interrupting a five-day streak of inflows.

August 12, 2026
A 13-year-old wallet (1NidFx) moved 85 BTC (~$5.4 million)**. The coins were bought around 2011 at about **$13 per #BTC.
This is part of a broader 2026 trend: tens of thousands of old #BTC are leaving “dormant” addresses. Some of them go through OTC desks (which doesn’t pressure the market), and some — to exchanges.
Signal Interpretation

ETF flows are generally positive, but with volatility. Signal Neutral — there is institutional interest, but it’s not aggressive
Awakening of dormant wallets Neutral/Bearish signal — depends on the destination address (OTC vs exchange)
