i keep coming back to one thing about Dusk privacy isnt being treated as a reason to hide everything.
the interesting part is the attempt to make confidential activity still usable in places where compliance matters
Zero knowledge proofs are doing the heavy lifting here letting an application prove something about a transaction or user without exposing every detail behind that proof.
that sounds simple on paper.
its not.
the harder question for me is what happens when real institutions start pushing more complicated rules through the same privacy layer.different jurisdictions different reporting requirements, different ideas of what should remain private.
thats where Dusk gets interesting to me. the technology isnt just about making blockchain data invisible. its about finding a workable middle ground between privacy and verification.
maybe thats the part people underate.
