【Retail investors think "fear = it’s time to run," but UNI has already refused to drop here】

A lot of people talk about UNI, and the first thing they say is, "It’s down so much already—there’s definitely no hope."

That statement is only right halfway. UNI really has plunged terribly—more than a 92% drop from its all-time high. It’s right there for everyone to see; no one can claim they didn’t notice.

But what about the other half?

Now the market fear index is 29, and it was 29 a week ago. Over the past week, UNI has still dropped more than 10%. By the retail-investor logic, at this point you should keep panicking and keep selling, right?

Here’s the interesting part—UNI has held steady at this level.

Not some recycled technical-analysis talk about "range consolidation." This is the market speaking: whoever truly wanted to sell this round is already done. What’s left is emotion reinforcing itself.

I’ve gone through four cycles, and I’ve seen this kind of divergence more than once. The historical data is right there: when the market is in extreme fear but the price refuses to go any further down, it’s often projects whose fundamentals haven’t truly deteriorated that are building a base. Whether UNI is one of those cases depends on how you define "deterioration."

What does all this mean in practical terms?

If you hold UNI, ask yourself one question: does the reason you bought it still hold today? Is it the ecosystem layout, governance rights, or simply the belief that it can rise?

If you’re an LP or liquidity provider, look at on-chain data: has trading volume really fallen off a cliff? Can fee revenue still hold up? That’s the core for judging whether UNI can continue to stand on its feet in this market.

Does the business logic hold up or not?

The truth is: Uniswap’s TVL hasn’t collapsed in this bear market cycle. The truth is: the rationale for DEXs hasn’t been disproven. The truth is: UNI’s voting participation rate is low, and the fee-sharing mechanism hasn’t been implemented yet.

Which of these is real—you decide for yourself.

Remember this: drawdown isn’t the standard for judging whether a project lives or dies. On-chain data is.

Do you think this can truly be realized? What’s your take on this move?
