Brothers, ETH is now hovering around 1883 and getting stuck grinding in this box. First, the conclusion—this round, I won’t chase it. I’m slightly bearish and waiting for the pressure to release.

After going through the data, the biggest tell is money flow. In the three-hour window, there was a net outflow of 500,000 ETH from large orders. None of the twelve candles shows a net inflow—each is not bringing any in. And for spot, the last five large order candles also have all been negative. Just this one point is enough for me to swallow back the words “chase longs.”

But the chart hasn’t reached a full breakdown. On the 15-minute timeframe, spot is net inflow. Aggressive buys are still pressing down on sell orders; the order book shows bids are more than twice as thick as the asks. For the whale accounts, over the past seven hours they still added long positions by another seven percent. In the short term, there are people absorbing it, and it’s not easy to smash through.

What’s really annoying is the news. The spot ETF staking narrative is out there, the staking rate has climbed to 34.4%, setting a record, and sentiment on the square is up to 7.7—strong positive. Everywhere on the internet is calling for longs—yet the price just won’t rise. If good news can be shouted this much and it still can’t move the market, it suggests that at this price, long-side money doesn’t really want to take the trade anymore.

The technicals also haven’t given direction. On the four-hour chart, it’s still pressing downward. The MACD has a dead cross with no sign of closing, and the ADX is weak—this is basically a ranging market. The ATR suggests extreme volatility. In this kind of setup, either one big bearish candle will cut through everything, or suddenly there will be a breakout with volume. Chasing anyone is likely to get hit.

So at this level, the long side’s advantage isn’t as clear as before, and the risk-reward for chasing longs is mediocre. Wait for a pullback to firm up the base, or wait until that three-hour net inflow turns positive. Long-term holders, keep holding if you’ve been holding. Short-term traders who feel itchy—take a break for now.
