bStock — это not exactly the same as a regular share. And it’s better to understand this difference before buying.
At first glance everything seems simple: you see $TSLAB , buy it — and it looks like you now own a Tesla stock.
But legally, bStock is a tokenized security, not the company’s direct share.
What does this mean in practice?
bStocks are backed by corresponding U.S. securities on a 1:1 basis, so their value is tied to the underlying asset. But the owner of bStock does not become a direct shareholder of the company.
For example, you may get economic exposure to changes in the price of the underlying share, but that doesn’t mean you receive all the rights of a regular shareholder.
In particular, there are no voting rights for the shares.
So before you buy, it’s worth separating two things:
“I'm getting exposure to the stock price” and “I directly own the stock” — they’re not the same.
It’s a simple nuance, but it’s important to know in order to understand what exactly you’re buying.
And up until today, have you been treating bStocks as regular stocks, or did you know about this difference?
