Latest news: On August 12, Fidelity is preparing to add an ETH staking and quarterly cash dividend mechanism to its Ethereum ETF (FETH). FETH currently has net assets of about $898 million. According to the amended registration documents, under normal circumstances the fund may stake up to 100% of its ETH, but no minimum staking ratio has been set. It will also keep some ETH for redemptions, fees, and other liquidity needs. Fidelity plans to retain 85% of total staking rewards, while the remaining 15% will be paid to the fund sponsor, the custodian, and node operators. The node operators listed in the filing include Blockdaemon, Figment, and Galaxy. Net staking proceeds will be used first to pay the fund’s expenses, and the remainder will be used for quarterly cash distributions.
