Fliggy has launched a travel AI product called Hanghang, or "Fliggy Bangbang," that can generate itineraries, answer questions, and handle services including refunds and changes, hotel upgrades, seat selection, airport transfer bookings, arrival cards, and invoicing, according to Jiemian News. The platform said the product is still in limited testing, and CTO Chen Ye said Fliggy will focus on user interaction for now and will not prioritize monetization for a long time.
The report said Ctrip, Tongcheng and Meituan have also rolled out AI travel assistants or related products, with Tongcheng combining its in-house "Chengxin AI" with DeepSeek to offer AI-powered real-time booking. Fliggy previously introduced a travel AI product called "Wen Yi Wen" in April 2025, and said Bangbang moves AI from information interaction into service fulfillment by connecting to the platform's goods, orders and service systems.
Fliggy said the product is built on Alibaba's Qwen large model and uses its own training environment and data pipeline for post-training. The company said Bangbang's result usability score is more than 70% higher than the previous generation. Jiemian News reported that Fliggy sees AI as a way to connect supply chains and transaction systems as travel planning becomes more complex and generic AI tools become stronger.
