Odaily Planet Daily News: South Korea’s stock market rose on Wednesday for the third consecutive trading day, driven mainly by optimistic sentiment around AI, with chip-related stocks surging. The KOSPI index in South Korea climbed more than 4%, reaching its highest level since August 5. Kiwoom Securities analyst Han Ji-young said, “As the strong AI infrastructure demand demonstrated by CoreWeave and Supermicro has been validated, inflows of funds into the semiconductor sector and AI-related stocks in South Korea are expected to improve.”

In terms of heavyweight stocks, Samsung Electronics and SK hynix rose more than 7%, while LG Energy Solution rose by about 3%. Hyundai Motor and Kia both climbed, gaining about 2% and 1.5%, respectively.
