Opened the list #bStocksCIS expecting the usual lineup of megacaps—and ended up running into Bloom Energy and Fluence Energy. First reaction: a strange choice for a crypto audience—who even trades shares of fuel-cell manufacturers?
But then I remembered where the interest in Bloom Energy has been coming from over the past couple of years: their fuel cells are increasingly being placed alongside data centers that can’t keep up with connecting to the grid due to rising load from AI computing. Fluence has a similar logic, just through storage: the grid needs a buffer for demand spikes.
So it’s the same bet on AI infrastructure as $NVDAB —just from the other side: not the chips, but the energy that powers them.
Not sure whether the curated list #bStocksCIS was assembled around this idea on purpose, or whether it just happened to line up while new tickers were being added—but it’s a nice coincidence. @BinanceCIS
