According to CNBC, Jim Cramer's Charitable Trust will buy 25 shares of Micron Technology at roughly $872 each shortly after the opening bell, giving the portfolio a 0.5% weighting in MU. The trust is starting the position at a smaller size because Micron is considered a volatile stock, and the investment thesis rests on strong demand for DRAM and NAND driven by the AI boom, which has pushed up prices and margins. Micron said at its June earnings report that it had signed 16 strategic customer agreements, and at the KeyBanc Technology Leadership Forum on Monday, the company said it had added more agreements since then. Sumit Sadana, Micron's executive vice president and chief business officer, said demand is becoming tighter and expects calendar year 2027 to be even tighter than 2026 as demand keeps growing faster than supply. The trust set a $1,100-per-share price target, below Micron's all-time closing high of $1,213.56 on June 25.
