It is difficult to ignore institutional crypto exposure anymore. 👀
The Bank of Canada has disclosed about 6.98 million US dollars in funds in crypto ETFs; this includes approximately 330 thousand US dollars in the Bitwise $XRP ETF.
The larger share is in $BTC: 5.31 million US dollars in the ProShares Bitcoin ETF and an additional 1.09 million US dollars in Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund, plus further exposure via Grayscale.
What makes this especially interesting is the timing. While institutions continue to build ETF exposure, it is reported that Grayscale sold XRP worth approximately 180.78 million US dollars through its XRP Trust ETF in the first half of 2026; this corresponds to about 103.41 million XRP.
Different institutions, different strategies. But one thing is clear: institutional money is still paying close attention to cryptocurrency. 👀
