After Reap was acquired by Kraken's parent company Payward for $600 million, it added support for USDC on Hyperliquid. This allows users to more easily create Hyperliquid wallet addresses within the Reap platform and send USDC to top up their debit cards and payment accounts. With this feature added, it could increase user stickiness and trading volume on the Reap platform. That said, Reap’s latest addition may be aimed at further expanding its market share in the Web3 payments infrastructure space. The key question is whether the use of USDC on Hyperliquid can bring in more users and trading volume. Reap’s move could have a positive impact on HYPE, since a more convenient payment experience can attract more users. Overall it’s bullish; however, if USDC usage on Hyperliquid doesn’t meet expectations, or if Reap’s competitors also roll out similar features, the conclusion may change.
