Microsoft’s in-house AI chip accelerates progress. According to a report by The Information citing people familiar with the matter, Microsoft plans to release its next-generation Maia 300 chips as early as September. The company is currently negotiating production capacity with TSMC, aiming to deliver at least 300,000 chips by 2027. The company wants to significantly increase the output of its self-developed chips and encourage cloud customers such as Anthropic to adopt its own products, in order to reduce dependence on NVIDIA chips. $MSFT #AI chip
