After thinking for a long time in the middle of the night, here is my own August trading guide.
1、While walking, keep watching—buy low and sell high. Buying low is fine, but chasing highs is a strict no (even if it’s “bright,” don’t chase; if it doesn’t work, just wait).
2、Near earnings reports, there is absolutely no chance of a major main trend. The market needs to rest.
3、Under the “Fed talks but doesn’t do much” mode, don’t place any non-deterministic bets on interest-rate-related sectors.
4、Chase opportunities to buy low in technology companies that have real cash income& sustained growth.
Buy in August and September; then look again in November–December to get going.
5、I’m optimistic about gold, but I absolutely don’t think it will keep rising continuously.
6、For North American stocks: I’m a bit optimistic about stability, but it’s absolutely buy low and sell high. For Mainland China A-shares: the only view is—sell when it rebounds.
7、For North American “optics” (光): a buy-low stance; for A-shares “optics” (光): sell when it rebounds.
8、Overall stance on A-shares hard-tech: sell when it rebounds. Reassess in September and October. Buy high, sell low—sorry, buy low, sell high (high sell/low buy). $KSTR
9、For Hong Kong stocks: AI applications and cloud services—I’m bullish long-term, but I won’t chase. $BABAB
10、For crypto: I’ll hold off until what I believe will be the final drop, or buy according to the average time frame.
No need to agree or disagree with these points—just personal reference. At the end of August, we’ll take another look and summarize.
